OAKS AT SALEM WEDDING IN APEX, NC

We got to be a part of the sweetest Oaks at Salem Wedding in Apex, NC last weekend! When we met TJ and Jennifer last year on Zoom, we knew we would get along instantly, and our time together during their engagement session proved that to be true too!

HOW THEY MET

Jennifer and TJ met when TJ moved to Pittsburgh for his first job out of school. He went to Penn State and relocated in 2017. Jennifer was a senior at a small university in Pittsburgh at the time. They were both in transition periods of their lives but knew very quickly that they needed to stay connected.

Their engagement was a sentimental and private moment in which TJ set up rose petals, candles, and champagne. He asked her to marry him in their first apartment. They celebrated with a fancy dinner and a night at a downtown Pittsburgh hotel.

THE WEDDING CELEBRATION

One thing that I really loved about TJ and Jennifer’s big day was how they included so many fun and personalized traditions to it! They had a Pittsburgh Cookie Table where guests could select a variety of cookies to take home (and let me tell you they were delicious!). They also had a fun tradition of wearing napkins on their heads. Basically one holiday, one grandparent put a napkin on their head and the tradition was born!
