Hey, sweet bride! If you are newly engaged, Congrats! This is the most amazing season! Make sure you soak it all in, because as cliche as it sounds, it truly does fly by! I can hardly believe it’s already been 5 years since I was planning my wedding to Christopher- it truly feels just like yesterday! I know one of the most important parts of Raleigh, NC wedding planning is selecting your vendors, so today I want to talk to you about why you should invest in your dream wedding photographer!
One of the biggest regrets for couples that I hear is that they wish they would have invested more in wedding photography. The flowers fade, the food gets eaten, and the dress sits in your closet when it’s all said and done. It’s a MAGICAL day, but the only tangible thing that you’ll have when it’s all said and done are your photographs. I totally understand having a budget to follow, I was there just a few years ago, but I am so glad that I splurged on a photographer I love because I see those beautiful wedding photos hanging up in my home every single day.
As you can see, this is a very important topic to my, but let’s get into a few reasons of why I think it’s important:

The most important thing you should look for in a wedding photographer is how well you connect with them! You will be spending more time with your photographer on your wedding day then your actual spouse- so you need to choose someone who makes you feel comfortable! Make sure your personalities click, because that is going to enable your photographer to serve you well!
2. YOUR DREAM PHOTOGRAPHER WILL KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THE TOUGH SITUATIONS THAT MAY ARISE DURING YOUR DAY.
If you select a Raleigh, NC photographer who is experienced and has shot a lot of weddings, they’re going to have seen all the crazy things that can come about on a wedding day. They’ve likely dealt with a rainy wedding day or a pushy mother-in-law. Not only will they know how to handle those situations tactfully, but they’ll be able to get amazing pictures while handling them! They’ll truly help to make your wedding day as stress-free as possible!
3. YOU’RE GOING TO BE THRILLED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT.
I think this goes without saying, but you absolutely want to be in love with your wedding photographs! As we previously discussed, your photos are going to be the one tangible thing that you take away from your wedding day. Those images will bring you joy for years to come, and the memories are truly priceless! During marriage, hard times will inevitably come, but you will be so glad to have those images to remind you of why you started this journey with your spouse in the first place!
As a past bride, I can truly attest to this! There have been many situations from my dad having a scary cancer diagnosis to hard times in marriage, where I have been so glad to have beautiful images so that I can remember all the precious moments from my wedding day, and you will be glad too!
