Their Wedding Day
If there was one word I could use to describe Michael and Hannah’s wedding in Sanford, NC it would be gospel-centered.
They brought Christ into every aspect of the day, and it was beautiful. From the hand-painted heirloom Bible, they read during their first look to the charge from their pastor at the ceremony to the songs that were selected. They kept the gospel in it all, and what a beautiful testimony because after 7 years of marriage if there is one thing we have learned it’s that we falter when Christ is not at the center of things.
One of my favorite details of the entire day was Hannah’s lace wedding dress from Ashley Grace Bridal. It was inspired by her grandma’s wedding dress, and quite honestly could have been mistaken for a duplicate. It was gorgeous! Everybody got ready at Hannah’s house. Her dad and brother shared the first look with her right before her and Michael’s first look. How special to create these memories at your childhood home.
Afterward, we went to Hannah’s favorite tree in her yard and took portraits of her and Michael as well as their wedding party.
Another detail I love is that Hannah made her own wedding cake. She is actually a pastry chef (an excellent one at that!) not only was her cake gorgeous, but it was also delicious! Hannah truly has a gift! Christopher and I are so excited we could be a part of Hannah and Michael’s day. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two!
