Even though it was so hot outdoors for their Yates Mill Park engagement session, Maddy and Cody still managed to look amazing!
How we Connected
One of the best feelings as a photographer and small business owner is receiving referrals from past clients! Madison was actually the maid of honor in one of our autumn 2021 weddings! Madison said, “She truly made the day so special and so stress-free! Her pictures were absolutely flawless and so incredibly dreamy!”
How Maddy and Cody Met
Fun fact about Maddy and Cody: they are high school sweethearts! They met back in 2017 when their separate youth groups went on a ski trip together! Maddy was struggling to get down one of the mountains and Cody stopped to help her out! They felt so relaxed and free to be goofy with one another, and they truly hit it off right from the beginning!
How They Got Engaged
Cody cooked him and Maddy honey mustard chicken pasta, and they watched a movie together. Afterward, they went to Coldstone for ice cream and walked around Yates Mill Park in Raleigh, NC. As they were walking, they stopped in front of the beautiful mill. They talked for a while about our lives together and how they wanted to spend forever with one another.
As they talked, Cody knelt down on one knee and asked Maddy to spend forever with him! Through the happy tears, she said yes! They made their way back to Maddy’s house to find a surprise engagement party! They celebrated with their closest friends and family the whole evening. It was truly the perfect day!!
The Wedding Plans
Maddy and Cody will be tying the knot at Highgrove Estate this December! I know it’s going to be an elegant wedding day filled with sentimental details and cherished moments. We seriously cannot wait to capture it all!
