Springtime Engagement Photos

We had the best time meeting Evan and Tori for their springtime engagement photos at Historic Oak View in Raleigh, NC! The weather was perfect, and the hydrangeas and azaleas were really showing off for us which made for some radiant engagement photos!

How They Met

Evan and Tori met through mutual friends one night while playing trivia at Hell’s Kitchen in Wilmington, NC. It took about 6 months for them to connect romantically, but they kept ending up in the same settings because of their mutual friends. Eventually, they hit it off, and once they did they were inseparable!

Evan first took notice of Tori, but Tori was the first to say those three special words. One night they were watching a movie, and at the end of it Tori looked over at Evan and told him that she loved him.

The Proposal

Evan proposed at the NC Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary. He had the ring for about a month before he proposed, and he asked Tori’s dad for permission on Christmas day. She had no idea he had a ring or was even planning on proposing. He was so calm and collected the whole night and never gave anything away. They walked around the whole festival, and he offered to take her picture in the Cherry Blossom forest, Tori turned around and Evan was on one knee with the ring. She screamed at him “ARE YOU SERIOUS?” before she said yes. Tori was so shocked!

They’re getting married at Highgrove Estate in spring of 2023, and their so excited for the big moments of the day as well as the special details! We cannot wait to capture all the memories for these two?
