How they met in Raleigh

Christopher and I had so much fun shooting Marissa and Storm’s engagement photos in Raleigh, NC! We decided to hang out around the NC State Capitol and the Daffodil Fields at Dorothea Dix Park. Downtown Raleigh is super sentimental to Marissa and Storm because they met while working together at the Wake County Courthouse. When they first met, they both thought the other was cute! They had their first date at Chuck’s in downtown! Marissa was the first to say “I love you” when her and Storm were at Cloud’s Brewing in downtown.

The Proposal

Storm popped the question on Christmas night. They had just gotten home from their Christmas Day festivities! They were opening gifts. The very last gift for Marissa to open was an electric wine opener. Storm said that she needed a bottle to open it with. He proceeded to bring out a bag with a wine bottle in it. The label said, “Will you marry me?” How sweet!

Storm and Marissa are so bubbly and fun! I know their wedding day at the JC Raulston Arboretum and Caffe Luna is going to be nothing short of amazing! To make it even better, they’re having a celebration in December. Christopher and I got married in December, so we really love December weddings! It is the most wonderful time of the year after all 😉
