I absolutely loved meeting Hannah and Michael while shooting their Cary, NC engagement photos! These are two of the kindest souls you will ever meet, and their love for each other just radiates! Christopher and I cannot wait for their wedding next summer!
HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met on our first day at Sandhills Community College on August 15, 2018 – he was a freshman, and I was a senior in high school doing dual-enrollment. He sat beside me in English class, asked if he was in the right class, and introduced himself. He is super outgoing, and I am very not. So, he definitely went out of his way to make conversation. After hearing bits a pieces of each other’s story, we discovered that we had very close mutual friends. Our first “real” conversation was about my mission trip, during my lunch break, and we began talking each day between classes. He asked for my number, after knowing him for a week. And, a week after that, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I’d say that the Lord had His perfect hand in all of that.
WHAT IS YOUR ENGAGEMENT STORY?
A little over a year and a half from when we started dating, we were at the beach for the weekend with my family. It was the weekend that the whole state shut down for quarantine. On Friday, March 13th, 2020, we went for a walk on the beach with my family, and he walked me towards the water, got down on one knee, pulled a ring box out, and asked me to marry him. It was the most precious. Simple, but so genuine.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT HIM?
I love his sense of adventure, contagious joy, his love for Christ, desire to see the world, and show love to others in the most genuine ways. He is so outgoing and will talk to anyone. Michael loves to see the world and life with a glass half-full, not empty. He shares a love with me for the BEST coffee, delicious food, all things Disney and Marvel, & enjoying small things in life.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT HER?
I would honestly say that my favorite trait in my beautiful fiancé, Hannah, would be her love for Christ. It radiates like the sunshine, and it inspires me day in and day out to better my walk with my Lord and Savior. I noticed the love she has for Christ in one of the first conversations I had with her. It was my freshman year in college, and we talked about her recent mission trip to South Africa! There are many things that I love and adore about Hannah. She’s genuine, kind, funny, and loves me for who I am. I can’t thank her enough for that.
