The Wedding

Zach and Abby had the most beautiful summertime 1705 East wedding in Raleigh, NC! The ladies started the day off getting ready at the prettiest AirBnb while the gentlemen got ready at a nearby Marriott! The moments captured during the getting ready time were some of my favorites of the day! From the adorable flower girl and ring bearer to Abby’s first look with her dad, the morning was perfect!

Once everyone was ready we headed over to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Raleigh for their ceremony. Zach and Abby opted to do an intimate “first touch” and prayer together just before the ceremony began. After the ceremony, the wedding party hopped on the Great Raleigh Trolley to head over to 1705 East where we had such a good time taking pictures! With it being a toasty July day, we made it a goal to keep everything fun but also efficient so everyone could get inside and enjoy some air conditioning 🙂

How They Met

Zach and Abby met during undergrad! Zach was a senior and lived in a studio apartment right under Abby and her four girlfriends. All year long, they invited the cute boy downstairs up for gatherings. However, he never agreed to come until Valentine’s Day 2018. He and Abby met, talked all night and have been inseparable ever since!

The Proposal

In June of 2020, Abby’s family planned a beach trip and invited Zach to tag along. Little did Abby know Zach had already talked to Mr. Way and bought a ring! One evening Zach asked Abby to go for a walk on the beach around sunset. We walked for a while and right as we were about to turn to go back to the house Zach got down on one knee and popped the question!
