Macie and I had been following each other on Instagram for awhile when we reached out about needing Winston-Salem wedding photography. I had seen that she and Jackson had recently gotten engaged and was so very excited for them! Jackson put so much thought into his proposal to Macie. It was seriously the sweetest!
The Proposal
Jackson’s sister had asked Macie to hang out for a girl’s night with her and some friends she supposedly had flying in from out of town. Macie thought it was going to be a very chill sweatpants kind of night, but Jackson encouraged her to text his sister just to be sure 😉 Macie realized the dress code was a bit more formal, so she spent the afternoon getting all dolled up! They were meeting their friends at Childress Vineyards, or so Macie thought. However, when they arrived Macie saw Jackson standing there in her favorite suit and big light up letters. Although she hadn’t suspected a thing all day she knew then what was about to happen!
As luck would have it, she broke a nail on her ring hand as soon as she stepped out of the car! Macie happened to have a spare nail in her purse and frantically began to search for it. Jackson wasn’t aware of what was going on, and at first thought Macie was running away….whoops! Of course, once the nail crisis was averted, Macie walked down to meet Jackson where he popped the question and surprised Macie with having both of their families there!
The Wedding
Macie and Jackson’s wedding day was SO special! She had every detail planned out from having edible glitter for the champagne flutes in her bridal suite to having confetti poppers for her bridesmaids for some fun pictures! I absolutely loved her black, gold, and silver theme! It was all glitz and glam which fit Jackson and Macie perfectly!
As far as moments of the day go, don’t even get me started on their first look and private vow exchange! Jackson couldn’t help but tear up at seeing Macie in her wedding gown. Their vow exchange was so sweet that I was holding back tears! I’m so excited for these two to start their lives together!
