When Christian & Devan reached out to me about photographing their wedding at the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina I was so excited! It sounded like it would be the perfect June wedding day- until COVID hit. Unfortunately, because of COVID these two had to postpone their wedding until October 🙁 However, it was definitely an event worth waiting for. It ended up being such a beautiful day!
As you can see from her periwinkle bridesmaid dresses and elegant florals, Devan has impeccable tase. My favorite detail of the day were her wedding favors. They had oyster knives for their guests which was a nod to Christian’s occupation & their life on the coast of Wilmington, NC!
Not only were there some sweet moments throughout the day, there were also some pretty hilarious ones too! For example, when the bridesmaids all went outside to pop a bottle of champagne and nothing happened when Devan popped the cork. It was very anti-climatic after all the anticipation! I loved their sweet letter exchange and seeing Christian’s face as he saw his soon-to-be-wife coming down the aisle! These are some of my favorite images in their entire gallery!
It is so evident that these two are loved to pieces by their family and friends, and I am so glad that they hired me to be their Raleigh, NC wedding photographer!
