Your engagement session is such a fun and valuable experience as a TR Bride. It is also a special occasion and should be treated as such! Here a a few reasons why you should get all dressed up for your engagement session.
1. IT’S A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OCCASION.
You aren’t ever going to have engagement photos taken again. That’s why we always suggest splurging and going all out as you plan your overall look for your pictures. Treat yourself! Get your nails done, have a professional do your makeup, try out some false eyelashes, get those gorgeous heels you’ve been eyeing. This is such a precious time in your life, so treat it as such!
2. IT GETS YOU USED TO WEARING FANCY CLOTHING.
On your wedding day, you are more then likely going to be dressed up more then you ever have been in your life- so having a practice run to get used to that is a good idea! Most of us don’t walk around in high heels and poofy dress normally, so it can be a little bit of an adjustment. If you have a little bit of time to get used to it, you’ll feel a little more relaxed come the wedding day.
3. YOU’LL LOOK YOUR BEST + DRESSES AND SUITS ARE VERY FLATTERING.
It’s no secret that well fitting dresses and suits are flattering, and if you’re wearing something flattering to you that’s going to translate to confidence. Having that relaxed confidence definitely translates into your pictures.
Here are some favorite stores for pretty dresses and dapper suits:
- J. Crew (check out the factory store too!)
- Lilly Pulitzer (gotta love shift dresses!)
- ASOS (excellent option for both men and women!)
- Morning Lavender
4. IT GIVES YOU A RESON TO PLAN A FANCY DATE NIGHT!
Is there a fancy restaurant you two have been wanting to try out? Do it after your engagement session since you’ll already be dressed up!
As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to go all out for your engagement session and make it a special occasion <3
