1. STATE CAPITOL BUILDING

For the folks who want their session in a stately location, it doesn’t get much better than the State Capitol Building in Raleigh, NC. It is GORGEOUS no matter the time of year! The columns, architecture, towering oak trees, and winding walkways truly make it an iconic spot for pictures.  When you finish your shoot make sure to stop by The Pit or Beasley’s Chicken and Honey for dinner!

3. WRAL AZALEA GARDENS IN RALEIGH

Don’t get me started on the stunning azalea gardens in Raleigh! Not only are the azalea blooms stunning in the spring and early fall, but they hydrangeas are gorgeous in the summertime! This is a small garden, but it seriously offers some opportunities for gorgeous engagement photos that you’ll cherish for years to come! This has become one of the most requested session locations for my TR Couples!

4. NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART

Whether you want to incorporate modern architecture in your session or whether you love tall, grassy fields, there is something for everybody at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC! While I love it any time of the year, this location is one I especially recommend to clients who want a location that features gorgeous fall foliage!

5. DUKE GARDENS IN DURHAM, NC

Duke Gardens offers so many options for florals! There’s also a pond with a weeping willow tree that I LOVE! Probably my favorite offering of Duke Gardens though is the fountain at the entrance! Additionally: there is a permit fee required to use this location, and it must be reserved in advance!

6. PARKING GARAGE IN DOWNTOWN

With our scenic downtown, one of my favorite locations to photograph engagement sessions at has become parking garages that showcase the skyline! If you’d like to have your engagement session at the top of a parking garage we will schedule your session very close to sunset for that gorgeous golden glow!

7. DOWNTOWN CARY, NC

Downtown Cary has such a small town vibe that makes it so cute for pictures! The foliage in fall and the crepe myrtles in summer make it picturesque any time of the year! I especially love the fountain in downtown as well the the Arts Center!
