This past weekend, Christopher and I got to travel to the beach for a beautiful engagement session at Ft. Fisher! For a January day in North Carolina, the weather was surprisingly pleasant, especially since a cold front had rolled through the day before! We did run into one small issue- the beach was quite crowded for January because there happened to be a Civil War re-enactment going on the same weekend. There will people all decked out in costume for the event! In spite of this though, we still managed to get some gorgeous images. Just wait until you see the dreamy light!
Devan and Christian opted for a Ft. Fisher engagement session because this also happens to be where they got engaged! I love it when my couples choose an engagement session location that is personalized to them! It truly adds such a special touch to their photographs! One of my favorite things about the session, was that we got to see several dolphins playing just offshore! They were so cute! We even saw a baby dolphin!
Devan and Christian were so much fun to be around. They were easygoing and went along with all of my ideas—-even getting in the water ( just a little bit) even though it was January! The end result was spectacular though! I cannot wait for their Highgrove Estate wedding coming up this summer!
